About me

I am Spinycat :3. Im an aspiring programmer, game developer, and silly individual. Programming is a key part of my interests, be it python apps, the Linux operating system, or game engines and the development of games, Im a fan. This page serves to explain who I am, what my interests are, and some recommendations for different media (like books, music, etc). I got into programming a while ago in year 4, where we learned the basics of scratch. I enjoyed tinkering with scratch, so decided to learn it further than what school was required to teach us. From there I began to learn python (which i learned further in secondary school), and Gdevelop for game development. A couple years ago I decided to try out linux mint on an old laptop I had, and really enjoyed messing about with new operating systems. As of writing this, ive tried Linux mint, Pop!_OS, and (although it never saved to the internal drive) Android for X86 architecture. I am a big fan of indie games, as I find them more interesting than most triple A titles. My current favourites are Ultrakill (The movement is really fun), Cassette beasts (the world is so interesting), and Balatro (I like to watch the number go up :3). Fantasy, slice of life, sci-fi, and RomComs are some of my favourite genres of narrative media (like books and films, although I prefer RomCom for my books). Im a Jpop and vocaloid fan, but I like many artists, such as Lemon Demon and Seth Macfarlane :3
